This chair was a special project I decided to test out around Christmas. I had seen all of these DIY plans for turning pallets into various things but I hadn’t seen one for Adirondack chairs. So I decided to figure it out. Each chair is made up of about one pallet based on the type of pallets used. They are incredibly sturdy since they are made from a tool that is used to carries hundreds and even thousands of pounds. These are a stepped down version of the adult chair and are made with slightly lighter duty wood. They can be finished or painted to suit your style. The ones pictured are painted with a standard exterior paint.

I am a Pastor with a passion for woodworking. This passion started when I was a child. I grew up with a father who owned and operated a construction company. I can’t remember a time when wood and sawdust weren’t commonplace in our home. By 12 years old I was learning how to work with wood myself, and I spent the rest of my teenage years working for the family business. As an adult, I branched out from the family business into furniture building. I moved my family across the country and we had to leave behind most of our store bought furniture. Out of necessity, I built most of the furniture my family now uses daily. I was tired of the store bought nonsense anyways. It didn’t last and was never quite what wanted. Now my family has furniture that will last generations. How great is that!?
